Want to make double the difference?
When you donate to The Menopause Charity between 10th – 17th October the Big Give will match it, so your money is worth twice as much.
Did you know that twice as many people are being prescribed HRT in the richest areas of the country compared with the poorest?
In fact, people in deprived areas are less likely to receive any menopause treatment. And when they do, it’s frequently older, less safe forms of HRT. Black and Asian women are often misdiagnosed and less likely to receive treatment that’s right for them.
The way people experience menopause differs too. Disabled women are often more affected by symptoms. LGBTQ+ individuals face unique challenges managing menopause – but discrimination results in 6 out of 10 transgender people avoiding medical help.
It’s clear there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ when it comes to menopause. So that won’t work when it comes to information and support either.
Women and individuals experiencing menopause need information that’s practical, sensitive and, most importantly, relevant to them and their experience.
Tailored information and support
With your help, we’ll co-create menopause resources with the communities they’re aimed at. Together, we can get everyone the information and support they need to make choices that are right for them.
We need healthcare professionals to understand how menopause impacts people from different backgrounds. So they can make sure they’re offering the best possible menopause care. We’ll be creating resources for them too.
Donate between 10 – 17th October and make double the impact
